Climb to the “Sacred” Volcano of Sugarlandia

Bacolod City. Mt. Kanlaon, towering at 8,000 ft above sea level, is considered as the sacred volcano of Sugarlandia (Negros Occidental), an abode of the gods worshipped by ancient inhabitants.  It is one of the country’s favorite destinations for mountaineering, trekking, camping, research and bird watching.  A typical trek takes about 3 or 4 days,, giving adventure tourists enough time to see Buslogan and Oro waterfall, the Samok lagoon and the Margaha valley.  You may choose the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia of the Guintubdan summit trail as your jump-off points in climbing Mt. Kanlaon.
