Packing Cubes
Posted by Carambs
I’m done packing! Thank God for my packing cubes! I recently purchased a set of medium packing cubes from Amazon, and these babies are worth it!

I first owned a packing cube 2 years ago, when I was given a travel set. There was only 1, which I didn’t use right away. The most useful item in the set was the toiletry bag, which I can say has already visited quite a number of destinations. Just a few months ago, I decided to try out the lone packing cube, and lo and behold - it was so useful! My travel bag was more organized, and more things could fit! This prompted me to search online and eventually purchase the eBags Packing Cubes for $24.99. In my opinion, this is a must-have for travellers.
Packing for a Trip

I’m currently packing for my Europe trip, and I am not yet done! I don’t have a clue as to what I’ll wear during the second day of the conference, and during the trip back to Manila. It’s not usually this hard to pack, but with this trip, I had to take into consideration the weather, luggage space, and of course, fitting in fashion-wise.
It’s easier to pack for a regular trip. I start by referring to my list, which I have stored on my phone. This list contains the basic items I need for ANY trip, near or far, by land or by air. It includes toiletries, eyeglasses, clothes, and even gadgets such as my iPod and chargers. It’s important to be very detailed - instead of just listing “toiletries”, break it down to “tissue paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.”. Thanks to the list, I don’t think I’ve ever left anything important during any trip we’ve had the past 3 years.
Non-regular trips are trickier, such as this Europe trip. Research, and an additional list, are necessary. Some of the non-regular items included in my current list are thermals, mittens, and scarves. And because of the inclusion of these items, it’s necessary to start packing ahead of time. Cramming may result to you not having several items, which could definitely affect your trip.
Tomorrow, off to Barcelona I go. Tonight, I continue packing…
Hello!

Hello to everyone! First post ever! I’m really excited about this blog! Thanks to NFJ for the idea! Here, we will be posting about our roadtrips, travels to other countries, visits to the different provinces of the Philippines, new discoveries in the Metro, rants, and raves.
I love travel, and some might say that it’s “unfortunate” that I only ‘discovered’ it 3 years ago. I see it differently - I’m thankful that I got into this because it’s really wonderful! Travelling allows me to see beautiful places, experience new things, take photos of interesting subjects, and learn about new cultures. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a roadtrip, or a long-haul flight to another country, or a short flight within the country - all of these places offer different things, new experiences, great finds, and of course fantastic photos!
We hope that this blog will inspire others to travel and go on trips too. Come and be a happy tripper like us!
